One question, in three shots

The same HR questions, answered one at a time.

An assistant that finds the answer in the company’s own documents.

Live for ~200–250 people, across two business units.

Illustrative conversation, not a real policy.

The problem

HR and policy questions came in one at a time and were answered one at a time. The answers already existed, spread across documents people couldn’t search.

What I did

  1. a Built an internal assistant on a large language model, grounded in the company’s own HR and policy documents.
  2. b Started with HR: high volume, clear sources, low risk.
  3. c Rolled it out to ~200–250 people across two business units.

HR

first use case, chosen for volume and clear sources

Outside games

Every company has an HR inbox full of questions that are already answered somewhere. It’s the safest first AI project most organisations can run.

The judgment call

“Start where the questions already are. A narrow first use case earns the trust a wider roll-out needs.”
